If you have a question which isn't covered below please drop me a line hello@thefinaldetail.uk
Different to a wedding planner, a coordinator steps in when the suppliers are booked, the table plan decided and the general flow of the day is set.
My coordination packages come with 6 weeks email and WhatsApp support to ensure that no details are overlooked and by your wedding day we have a plan which is not only realistic, but can flex and adapt as your day progresses.
You then get to spend your wedding day celebrating, spending time with those you love and not worrying about the logistics of where your suppliers are, what comes next or trying to solve a problem which you shouldn't even know about!
Possibly! I'd recommend exploring your contract and having a clear conversation with your venue about what their venue staff will take care of and what falls outside of their responsibility.
Venue coordinators generally look after venue health and safety, rules, service and staff. They may not get involved in coordinating your external suppliers, décor, timeline and problem solving anything that may happen on the day. For example, they may make sure dinner is served at the right time, but they won't notice your content creator is yet to show and get on the phone to find out where they are. They may bring out a mic for the speeches, but they won't adjust the rest of the timeline and inform everyone when those speeches over run.
I'd recommend getting a guarantee in writing if your venue are offering to take on all wedding coordination outside of venue provided services. Staff turnover can mean what one venue manager was happy to do, the next will not.
Yes, you can. Many couples start off planning by presuming that they can ask their friend or family member to coordinate their day and it is not until they are nearer the time that they realise this may not be the best idea.
If you do plan on asking a friend or family member I would recommend;
-Having an honest conversation about what you will need from them on the day. Weddings can be expensive to attend, are they happy to commit to 'working' the day?
-Are you certain that this person will commit to being present, on the ball and not be distracted by the drinks reception or in the photobooth when they should be setting up for you to cut the cake.
-Consider what other responsibilities they have. Do they need to be in hair and makeup whilst set up is happening? Do they have their own children to supervise? Can they be onsite early to greet suppliers and direct set up?
-What decision making will you leave up to them? What do you want to know about and what do you want them to deal with without bothering you?
Some weddings run perfectly fine with the support of family and friends. If you'd like to chat through whether you think you can manage or should consider a coordinator please get in touch. I'll answer honestly and there will be no pressure to book any services that you may not need.
Maybe, if you feel like your wedding is an intimate affair and doesn't require the full Signature Package, please reach out for a custom quote for a Final Detail 'lite'.
If it sounds like you don't need me, I'll tell you honestly there's no pressure to book a service you may not need.
Wedding planners are involved from a much earlier point in the planning process and assists with finding and booking suppliers and bringing your vision to life. The support can vary from full wedding planning, to partial admin assistance.
A Coordinator steps in nearer to the day to execute your plans and give you the day you have worked so hard to organise.
The reality is that many couples want to be involved in the process and see it as an enjoyable part of being engaged. My wedding planning services can be as involved or minimal as you decide.
Want help with venue, suppliers and table plan, but want to source all décor yourself? No problem.
Or have you picked your venue, date and photographer but need help with the small details? I've got you.
I know exactly what you mean. You're happy planning your wedding, possibly even enjoying the process but sometimes you just need a little bit of support.
I recognise this from planning my own weddings this year (a London elopement and a big summer barn wedding) life can get busy, the planning overwhelming and there are some jobs you just keep putting off because they fill you with dread.
I created two packages to bridge the gap between DIY and wedding planning.
The Brief- a 60-90 minute call where i run an expert pair of eyes over your plans and go through your day with a fine toother comb. I apply my 14 years of planning and logistics experience to your wedding and provide a clear action plan within 24hrs. This allows you to move forward with your plans in a logical way, supported by an expert guide. Investment: £49.
The Assist- one planning call to decide the scope of support required and 4 hours behind the scenes admin.
Whether that's finding napkins in a very specific shade of green, compiling and comparing quotes for content creators, or creating your timeline let me take it off your plate.
Investment: £100.
I am Wiltshire based covering Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, London and the South West. Travel within 50 miles of Salisbury is included, a small travel fee is applied over this distance.
I am more than happy to travel, so if you are further afield get in touch for a quote inclusive of travel/accommodation.
Yes, I am more than happy to assist with set up as part of the coordination package. This can be meeting outside décor suppliers, or I can set up your venue with your own décor.
I do not supply any décor but if you would like assistance with sourcing this please let me know.
If I am on site for more than 6 hours then I ask that a supplier meal is provided.
If this is not possible then we can identify a gap in the schedule where I can leave site to source a meal.
Weddings days can be long and busy, I want to be focussed on your day providing the best service I can.
My standard package is 10hrs which see's most weddings through from set up to first dance. This can be extended, please just let me know what times you have in mind and a quote can be provided.
Once your booking is confirmed you can drip feed details through to me, forward emails, give me access to spreadsheets etc. Or you can save it all up for nearer the time.
Around 8 weeks before you wedding I'll be in touch to schedule your 2 planning consultations. I suggest that these take place 6 weeks and 2 weeks prior to your wedding.
Once your balance is paid at 6 weeks prior, your unlimited WhatsApp and Email support begins. This allows us to finalise the details collaboratively and ensures your day will be just as you've imagined.
I will create your master timeline and supplier contact sheet from the details you've shared and I'll also introduce myself to all your suppliers so they know I am their point of contact for the day.
We'll confirm my arrival time and exactly what can be expected on the day.
Drop me an email to hello@thefinaldetail.uk with some basic details including the venue, date and the type of wedding you're having (dry hire, marquee, legal, celebrant led etc).
I'll let you know if I'm available and we can arrange a phone call or Zoom chat to discuss your plans.
I ask for a 10% deposit to secure your date with the balance due 6 weeks before the wedding.
