Hi, I’m Abbie

I’ve always been someone who loves making things happen. I’m naturally organised and calm under pressure, exactly what’s required of an on the day wedding coordinator. I love a list, a spreadsheet and I love working with a team towards a shared goal. 


I live in Wiltshire with my husband who is an Army officer, our two young girls and Betsy the bonkers Cocker Spaniel.

My background is slightly unconventional…

I spent 14 years in the Army, leaving as a Staff Sergeant. During this time I planned, led, and delivered everything from complex exercises and operations to conferences and formal events. My background also includes running a medical practice, providing leadership to large teams, and managing situations where communication, organisation, and good decision-making are vital. These skills are particularly valuable in the realm of event planning services, including wedding coordination where attention to detail is paramount. 


Alongside this practical experience, I hold a BSc in Leadership and Management and a Chartered Management Institute Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management. This underpinning theoretical knowledge supports my vast experience in managing large teams, complex logistics and providing results. 

So The Final Detail was born…

I genuinely love weddings; the excitement, the little details, the personalities, and the fact that every couple has a completely different idea of what their perfect day looks like. 


Planning my own wedding made me realize that my skills easily transferred from the military to weddings. I’ve spent 14 years ensuring the right people are in the right place, at the right time with the right kit. Now I get to apply these skills in slightly nicer venues!.

Based in Wiltshire, I cover Hampshire, Dorset, Somerset, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, London, and beyond.
